Welcome!Welcome to the community-driven Wiki site of the cAos Foundation. It contains information about the Foundation and its member projects. cAos Linux is a community-driven RPM-based distribution of Linux. It combines aspects of Debian, RH/Fedora, and FreeBSD, is stable enough for servers and clusters, utilizes a long term life cycle (3-5 years), and is built from current cutting edge packages. The cAos Foundation is a not-for-profit organization which provides support and resources to its member projects and represents the community at large with regard to project direction, schedules, etc. As such, our projects are actually governed by the community (via the Foundation) rather than by any single corporate or political entity.
